Dr. Joseph Pechter grew up in Vero Beach, Florida and earned his Bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College. Dr. Pechter graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Magna Cum Laude. He completed a three year residency in Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine . Additionally, Dr. Pechter became a Board Certified Periodontist , earning the distinction of diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery. Dr. Pechter is well known throughout south Florida and is a distinguished member of many leading periodontal and dental associations. These include: American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) Dr. Pechter develops and utilizes dental and medical mobile phone applications, including PerioVoice Pro (a perio charting app for dentists and hygienists). He publishes articles in Dimensions of Dental Hygiene about implant maintenance and gum disease.
